Heater manufacturers account for glass and other uninsulated surfaces because they increase heat load relative to insulated timber walls. Begin with physical interior volume, apply the relevant manufacturer’s surface adjustment, then check the resulting effective volume against the exact heater range.
Cold conditions do not justify ignoring a manufacturer’s minimum room volume or installing the largest heater that fits. Control placement, clearances and approved room-volume range remain model-specific.
